A New Chapter in Our Prayer Life

For several years, we’ve used the loose-leaf format as we made updates based on feedback and added more services to the siddur. After much work from Dr. Rabbi Ben Levy, Rabbi Shmuel Polin, Robynn Mann and other committee members, we’re now ready to print 150 copies of the new siddur. These books will support our community in prayer and help deepen our shared worship experience.

How You Can Contribute

We invite you to contribute to this important project in one of the following ways:

  1. Online Donation: Visit this page and select the “Prayer Book Fund” to make a secure donation.
  2. Check or Cash: Write a check to Congregation Etz Chaim with “Prayer Book Fund” in the memo line and mail it to the address above.
  3. Pledge: If you prefer to contribute over a period of time, we can work with you to set up a pledge plan.

Donor Recognition and Opportunities

As a thank you for your support, we are offering recognition for the donors who contribute:

  • Donations of $540 or more will be included on a commemorative page of donors in the new siddur. The deadline for inclusion on this page is February 28, 2025. You may include a short one line “in honor of” or “in memory of” to be included with your name.
  • Donations of $108 or more will allow you to dedicate a prayer book in honor or in memory of someone special. A label with your dedication will be placed inside one book.
  • Donations of $54 will support the purchase of one prayer book.
  • You may also purchase a single copy for your home use during streamed services for $54. Books will be available in large and standard print formats.
  • Donations of any amount to allow us to reach our $5400 goal are always welcome.
