Writer/Producer/Director Steven Besserman writes:
Over 35 years ago, my Mother Aranka documented the horrors she endured at the hands of the Nazis and how she met my father, Josef, in a concentration camp, separated by barbed wire, physically and psychologically ravaged by starvation and brutality. And yet, they fell in love, giving each other the strength and will to survive.
Only A Number is a different kind of Holocaust story, told from the perspective of a child who wants to memorialize how much the indomitable spirit of his parents was able to overcome. After the showing Steven Besserman will join us to discuss this unique documentary. We thank Jewish Family Services for enabling us to make this presentation.
