Adult Education
There are many opportunities for adult education at Congregation Etz Chaim. In addition to our weekly Torah study on Saturday morning at 10:00; on Wednesdays at 11am, join the Rabbi for "Conversations with the Rabbi".
There is also a Book Club Chavurah. The book club meets at members' homes on a rotating basis about every 6 weeks. Please check our calendar for the specific dates or reach out to Rabbi Levy for the book and location of the month.
Congregation Etz Chaim is proud to host Read Hebrew America. If you can't decode Hebrew or are just a beginner reader, we hold classes twice a year to assist in your Hebrew reading skills. Rabbi Polin is also available to work with you individually. We also hold Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvahs. This has been especially rewarding for women who did not have the privilege of a Bat Mitzvah in their youth.
We've had classes on Jewish history, Yiddish and Shabbatons on Israel and Jews in America through our Isabel Buyer- Howard & Harriet Katz Lecture Series.
If you are interested in hosting a class, contact the Rabbi or the Education VP.
