Board Of Trustees: Treasurer
Being Treasurer usually takes up to 2 hours per week. The responsibilities include being a part of the Executive Committee and paying the temple's bills. It's helpful, but not required to be familiar with Quickbooks.
Board Of Trustees: Education VP
Being the head of the Education Committee usually takes 4 to 6 hours per month. The responsibilities include chairing the Education Committee (meets bi-monthly) and assisting with special events of the Hebrew School and Hebrew High. The Education Committee also oversees adult education. The Education VP also serves on the Board of Trustees which requires a monthly meeting.
Education Committee: Member
Joining the education committee will give you an opportunity to shape the educational future of Etz Chaim, both for our children and adults. It will require you to attend a bi-monthly education meeting.
Ritual Committee: Member
Joining the ritual committee will give you an opportunity to be a part of planning holiday celebrations, special Shabbat services and other special events. It will require you to attend a monthly ritual committee meeting on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.
Building Committee: Member
Joining the building committee will give you an opportunity to help us make sure the building is up to date with repairs and maintenance. Planning the annual building cleanup and setting up our once a year free bulk pickup. There are also opportunities to help with setting up for holidays.
Membership Committee: Member
Joining the membership committee will give you an opportunity to help us grow our Jewish community and bring new members into our family.
Social Action Committee: Member
Joining the social action committee will give you an opportunity to perform acts of loving kindness and tikkun olam.
